18.1 Overview

Apart from the excellent management of Part Drawings, 2BizBox also employs a complete document saving and managing module, namely, the Document Box.

The document box provides central management for all documents in the system. By dividing all document types into two main categories, Part document and Miscellaneous Document, the Document Box manages settings of document upload path, the uploading and searching for documents and logs. 

• Part Document

Part document is similar to Part Drawing in naming and uploading. It is bound to a Part and the naming rule follows Part Number. You can view the Part Document in Part Properties after it is uploaded. Part document types can be operation manuals, engineering documents, technology documents, quality documents, etc.

• Miscellaneous documents

All documents except Part Documents are sorted as Miscellaneous Documents. They scatter in different modules in 2BizBox, such as SO document, WO document, Customer Document, etc. You may set an independent path for each document type.

All documents can be saved in the local server or an FTP as needed. Permissions to upload, find, download and delete documents are separated so that you can assign them to different users for safe management of the documents.
